International conference "New Medicine - TOGETHER" was held in Kyiv

Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine, who attended the conference, noted that the meeting of representatives of the Ukrainian and foreign humanitarian sector, national and foreign charitable organizations is of great importance for the sustainability of Ukrainian medicine today. The head of the Ministry of Health spoke about the work of the department and the priorities of the industry as a whole.

Head of the National Health Service Natalia Husak presented the results of healthcare reform and innovative approaches to financing and procurement in the sector.

Speakers at the conference included representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Health Service of Ukraine, HEALTH CLUSTER OCHA, the Population Foundation, RAZOM, International Medical Corps, the National Humanitarian Aid Agency ZDOROVI, Tabletochki, Patients of Ukraine, and others.

The participants presented successful cases in the field of humanitarian response to the needs and demands of medicine today. The focus was on helping the military, veterans and victims of Russian aggression. Development of international partnership. Mechanisms for managing humanitarian aid. Transformation of Ukrainian hospitals to international standards. Counteracting the destructive impact of hostilities. The conference "New Medicine - TOGETHER", which brought together more than a hundred representatives of the humanitarian and medical spheres from different parts of Ukraine and abroad, was organized by the National Humanitarian Aid Agency ZDOROVI and the Charitable Foundation "Together for Ukraine".

According to Natalia Tulinova, founder of the National Humanitarian Aid Agency: "I am grateful to my colleagues for two days of fruitful joint work and I am sure that the developments and ideas we have received during this time will have a significant impact on the development of humanitarian partnership and further support for doctors and patients in Ukraine."

"We work every day to ensure that Ukrainian medicine withstands the pressure of war and that as few people as possible lose the opportunity to receive timely, high-quality care. We face many challenges, but it is effective partnerships, exchange of experience, joint generation of new ideas and projects from responsible participants in the humanitarian, charitable and medical sectors that enable us all to create a new Ukrainian medicine together," summarized Vitaliy Svichynsky, Chief Operating Officer of the "Together for Ukraine" Charity Foundation.

For the informal part of the conference, the organizers prepared a socially important activity called "Sharing Bread". Participants of the event prepared delicious food for more than a hundred residents of the Kyiv Nursing Home for Labor Veterans.
