Pentagon provides recommendations to Trump on military aid to Ukraine

"The Department is carefully reviewing and adjusting its approach to achieve this goal while preserving the US military's combat effectiveness and defense priorities," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said.

He added that this review is being done to ensure that U.S. military assistance is consistent with U.S. defense priorities, Suspilne reported.

"We will not disclose exactly how many weapons or what types of weapons we are transferring to Ukraine or exactly when that is happening. But the secretary of defense will continue to provide recommendations to the president to make decisions about further military assistance to Ukraine," he said.

Parnell clarified that such a move is aimed at assessing exactly what munitions are being sent and where they are being sent.
