US to sell Ukraine over 3,000 cruise missiles

The Ukrainian government plans to purchase up to 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) missiles along with the same number of GPS and INS navigation systems with a spoofing module (SAASM), Y-Code or M-Code.

The delivery package also includes missile containers, pylons for their suspension, components and auxiliary equipment, spare parts, consumables, as well as maintenance and repair services. In addition, personnel training programs, engineering and logistics support are included.

"This sale will enhance Ukraine's ability to meet current and future threats by further equipping it to perform self-defense and regional security missions. Ukraine will have no difficulty incorporating these products and services into its armed forces," the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency said.

Ukraine is using funds from Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, as well as U.S. external military funding, to fund this contract.

The ERAM program is an example of working with NATO allies to create an effective, scalable system that can be delivered in a short time frame.

Zone 5 Technologies and CoAspire have been named prime contractors for the project.
