US tired of paying for war in Ukraine - White House

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said that US President Donald Trump believes that President Vladimir Zelensky should express gratitude to the United States and American taxpayers for funding Ukraine's national security and defense, Fox News reported.

Levitt noted that Zelensky was close to signing an economic agreement on natural resources last Friday, but backed out.

“He put the cart before the horse and bit the hand that feeds him,” Levitt noted, emphasizing that the American people are no longer willing to foot the bill for the war in Ukraine.

She added that Trump is eager to reach a peace agreement, but this, in her opinion, is not a priority for Zelensky.
