Ukraine's allies to purchase $1 billion worth of American weapons

Denmark, Norway, and Sweden have announced their decision to finance an additional package of American weapons for Ukraine worth $500 million, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Earlier, the Netherlands announced that it would pay for the delivery of the first package of American weapons and ammunition, including missiles for the Patriot air defense system, worth more than $500 million.

“Together, these deliveries amount to more than $1 billion in high-tech American equipment, which, as Ambassador Vickery noted, will allow Ukraine to protect critical infrastructure and civilian lives, as well as hold its ground on the battlefield until a sustainable ceasefire is achieved,” said US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
