Trump jokes about Spanish prime minister

Trump congratulated the leaders participating in the summit for their role in bringing peace to the Middle East, and casually mentioned Spain and his recent statements about the advisability of excluding it from NATO due to its lack of interest in investing in defense, EFE reports.

Trump asked Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, “Are you already working on this?”

A few hours earlier, Sánchez and Trump exchanged friendly greetings, during which both smiled.
