Trump has changed the rules of the game, says Hegseth

"President Trump has already changed the rules of the game. He has created the conditions for a possible peaceful settlement, which was his goal from the outset, on a very difficult battlefield. I don't think Vladimir Putin would have agreed to a meeting if he hadn't felt pressure. At the negotiation stage, there may be — and probably will be — exchanges of territory. There will be concessions. No one will be satisfied. But if anyone can do it, it's President Trump," said US Defense Secretary Pete Hagseth.

According to him, Trump's meeting with Putin, scheduled for Friday in Alaska, will be the first since 2015, when the Russian president visited the US, Fox News reports.

Hagel noted that his visit to the meeting is possible if his work schedule allows it.
