Trump began preparations for a meeting between Zelensky and Putin

"I had a very good meeting at the White House with distinguished guests: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, which concluded with the following meeting in the Oval Office. After the meetings, I called Putin and began preparations for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky, the location of which will be determined later. After that meeting, we will have a trilateral meeting with the two leaders and myself. Again, this was a very good, early step toward ending a war that has been going on for almost four years," he wrote.

The meeting between Zelensky and Putin may take place at the end of August.
