On September 9, 1965, the song (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction topped the UK charts.

For September 1965, the song (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction or simply Satisfaction was provocative in its content - let us remember that by that time the hippie movement had not yet become widespread in the USA, and morals were even stricter in Great Britain. Incidentally, in the USA, where the single was recorded, it was released earlier than in Britain - but for purely commercial reasons.

Funnily enough, Keith Richards supposedly wrote Satisfaction, or rather its famous riff, in his sleep - just like Paul McCartney wrote another of the most popular rock songs of the 60s, Yesterday. Keith even recorded the riff, played on an acoustic guitar, on a cassette recorder, after which he fell fast asleep. The lyrics were later written by Mick Jagger.

Since then, Satisfaction has usually closed The Rolling Stones' concerts, and the three video clips we'll put here show how much show business has changed compared to 1965, when the song was first performed (by the way, you can still see Brian Jones on stage next to Jagger).

As you can see, Jagger was still feeling pretty awkward on stage in 1965 - which can't be said about the 1981 performance.

Well, and finally, in 2013 Satisfaction is no longer just a song, but a whole show of one song...
