Russia should make concessions - Trump adviser

“I want to say that this war must end, and that requires territorial concessions. This will require concessions from Russia regarding security guarantees. That will require all sides to sit down at the negotiating table. And we are working very hard to advance these negotiations. We cannot get specifics from the Ukrainians, but it is obvious that this will be a certain territorial concession in exchange for further security guarantees,” he said.

He said this had been discussed during previous rounds of talks, CNN reported.

“It should be European-led security guarantees, it's a partial European contribution to its own security,” Waltz said.

The issue of U.S. security guarantees or lack thereof is something that has yet to be discussed, he said.
