The issue of the possible transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine was raised by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly.

Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg emphasized that he was not speaking on behalf of the US president, as the latter speaks for himself quite clearly and determines US policy, not Kellogg.

Responding to a question about the possibility of the US transferring American Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine, Kellogg noted that Tomahawk is an advanced missile system in the US and one of our high-end systems.

"As far as I understand — and I was not at the meeting — from what I understand from reading public reports, the issue of Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine was raised by President Zelensky at a meeting with President Trump at the UN General Assembly last week in New York. There were also no comments on whether this would happen or not. Again, public reports confirm that there was a request," the general said.

Kellogg stressed that the final decision will be made by President Trump.

“But no decision has been made,” he added.
