End to war in Ukraine unlikely before Christmas, - Tusk

“The Russians do not seem to be interested in serious peace talks or a ceasefire at this point. More pressure is needed, as well as a demonstration that the West will not allow itself to be divided. Then the talks may take on a more concrete form. But before Christmas, this seems very unlikely,” Tusk said.

Ukraine and the US support the idea of declaring a truce for Christmas, and now this issue depends on Russia's political will, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
