Putin and Kim Jong-un want to continue fighting against Ukraine

The call took place in August and was held in a “warm and friendly atmosphere.” Putin thanked Kim for his support of the war against Ukraine and for the “courage, heroism, and self-sacrifice” of the Korean People's Army soldiers, particularly in the “liberation” of the Kursk region, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Kim assured that the DPRK would remain faithful to the spirit of the mutual defense treaty with Russia signed last year and would support all measures that the Russian leadership would take in the future.

The two leaders agreed to further strengthen their partnership and maintain closer contact.
