I don't believe that the war in Ukraine will end quickly, says Erdogan

He noted that both Russia and Ukraine are suffering huge losses in the war, Fox News reports.

Erdogan added that Ukraine cannot compete with Russia economically, and Europe is unlikely to be able to provide economic assistance to Kyiv forever.

“I believe it will continue. At the same time, I don't know how long the United States will continue its support. I can't assess that,” he said.

When asked if this meant that the war could end soon, Erdogan replied: “I honestly don't believe that will happen. This is not very good news, and we are thinking about it, and it weighs heavily on our hearts.”

He noted that Europe and NATO should use Turkey's approach to Russia. It consists of Ankara having good relations with both Putin and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
