US refuses to support Ukraine

Two officials involved in preparing the statement said that there were problems in agreeing on the joint G7 statement, which is being prepared by the G7 finance ministers in Canada, because of the Trump administration's position, Politico reported.

The U.S. has objected to the statement's inclusion of a phrase about further support for Ukraine.
