Trump will meet with Zelensky

According to him, a mining agreement may be signed during the talks, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

“I heard that he is coming on Friday. Of course, I don't mind if he wants to. And if he wants to sign it with me - please. I realize it's a big deal, a very big deal, probably a trillion-dollar deal. It could be anything, because we're talking about rare earth metals and other resources,” he said.

Trump noted a desire to recoup the money spent.

“We want to be protected, we want that money back. The war shouldn't have happened, but it did, and now we have to solve it. American taxpayers will finally get their money back,” he said.

When asked what Ukraine would get in return, Trump said it was $350 billion and the right to fight on.

“350 billion dollars in a lot of equipment and military equipment and the right to fight, first of all the right to fight. Look, Ukraine. I will say - they're very brave, they're good soldiers, but without the United States, our money and military equipment, this war would end very quickly,” he said.

Asked whether Trump sees a more active role for the Ukrainian president in the negotiation process after an agreement is reached, he said he “hopes so.”

“We want to put Ukraine on its feet,” Trump added.
