Trump to build a “Golden Fleet”

According to Trump, the US Navy needs to be modernized because some of its ships have become old and depleted. He noted that the new ships will be significantly more powerful than the legendary battleships of the past, such as the Iowa or Missouri.

The US plans to start building two ships immediately. Subsequently, it plans to quickly increase their number to 10, and in the future to bring their number to 20-25 units.

The US president paid special attention to the armament of future battleships. According to him, they will become some of the most dangerous warships.

"The battleships will be armed to the highest level. They will have hypersonic weapons, state-of-the-art electromagnetic railguns, and even high-powered lasers. We have lasers that can simply wipe out a target. They will also carry nuclear warheads and launch cruise missiles, which are currently under development," he said.
