Trump likes Magyar

He likes Hungary’s future prime minister—Péter Magyar, leader of the Tisza Party.

“I think the new prime minister will do a good job—he’s a good guy,” he said.

He noted that Magyar was previously a member of Orbán’s Fidesz party and shares similar views on immigration.

“I think he’ll be a good prime minister,” he added.

Trump doesn’t know if anything would have changed had he gone to Hungary to campaign for Orbán instead of his vice president, J.D. Vance, who visited Budapest a few days before the election.

“He was way behind. I wasn’t that involved in it. Although Viktor is a good guy,” Trump said.
