Trump has promised to make Greenlanders rich

“We will continue to look out for your security as we have done since World War II. We're willing to invest billions of dollars to create jobs and make you rich. And, if you want, you can be part of the most beautiful country in the world, the United States,” he said.

Trump has talked about wanting to acquire Greenland, a mineral-rich Arctic island within Denmark arguing that people don't even know if Denmark has any legal right to it.
