The 47th school shooting in the US

Law enforcement agencies are conducting a large-scale operation to find the shooter, CNN reports.

According to law enforcement, the first 911 call reporting the shooting came in at 12:24 p.m. local time. The shooting took place on school grounds, but it is not yet known whether the incident occurred inside or outside the building.

“Three minors with gunshot wounds are being treated at the nearest St. Anthony's Hospital, and authorities do not anticipate any new victims,” said hospital director Kevin Callinan.

County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jackie Kelly said the suspects have not yet been apprehended. Police are investigating whether the shooter acted alone or if there were multiple attackers. Meanwhile, more than 100 law enforcement officers are combing through the school classroom by classroom.

The tragedy in Colorado is the 47th shooting at a US educational institution since the beginning of 2025. Of these, 24 incidents occurred on university campuses and 23 in schools.
