Shooting at Canadian school leaves 10 dead

Six people were found dead inside Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. Another person died from their injuries on the way to the hospital, according to CBC News.

Police found the bodies of two more victims in one of the city's residential buildings. Investigators believe that this building is directly connected to the incident.

The attacker herself was found dead inside the school. The woman died from self-inflicted injuries.

In an emergency alert sent to residents' cell phones during the shooting, the suspect was described as a woman in a dress with brown hair.

Two victims in critical condition were airlifted to the hospital. Another 25 people are under medical supervision at a local hospital.

Police Sergeant Chris Clark noted that law enforcement officials have not yet found any evidence of other suspects or an ongoing threat to the public. Police are continuing to check other buildings in the community to determine if there are any other victims or individuals involved in the crime.
