NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov agreed to a new peace agreement from Trump.

US officials said they had received positive feedback from Umerov during discussions with Vitkoff in Miami over the past few weeks, but did not claim that Kyiv had agreed to the deal, according to the New York Post.

“The plan was developed immediately after discussions with one of the most senior officials in Zelensky's administration, Umerov. So, Umerov agreed with most of the provisions of this plan and made several changes to it, which we included and presented to President Zelensky,” the official said.

He does not want to say that Kyiv “wholeheartedly... agreed to it and is ready to sign it.” He stressed that “they agreed with most of the points in the plan.”

One of the most politically explosive provisions provides for a full amnesty for all parties involved in the hostilities, making any future legal action regarding conduct on the battlefield impossible.

According to a senior White House official, this provision was proposed by Kiev.

He added that it had previously been stated that Ukraine would conduct a full audit of all aid received and create a legal mechanism to correct any errors identified and punish those who had illegally profited from the war.
