US President Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg said that international partners should help Ukraine in its recovery.

Kellogg emphasized the importance of Ukraine's reconstruction. He recalled how after the end of World War II, the US introduced a “Marshall Plan” for Europe, Ukrinform reported.

“And I think we should do the same for Ukraine,” he said.

According to his assessment, the situation is very difficult now, so a ceasefire should be achieved. Kellogg praised the actions of Ukraine's president and his team “for how sensibly they have behaved.”

In his belief, a ceasefire can indeed bring this war to an end.

"As a former soldier, it's hard for me to understand the level of violence you're seeing in Ukraine right now. When you lose over a million soldiers, it's murder on an industrial scale," he said.

Kellogg added that civilians are being killed and cities are being destroyed.

For comparison, he recalled that the U.S. Army withdrew from Vietnam, having lost 68,000 soldiers there.

“And now the Ukrainians agreed to a ceasefire, but it was a unilateral agreement,” he stated.

He emphasized the topic of the return of Ukrainian children. Donald Trump, he said, is concerned about this problem, so he insisted in conversations with Zelensky that it should be one of the points of negotiations with the Russians - and he agreed.

Kellogg noted that the activities of the Ukrainian military “tomorrow will become a legend”.
