Both sides agreed to create a working group to continue technical negotiations, and the administration intends to engage in dialogue with Denmark and the Greenlandic delegation.

"During the meeting, both sides agreed to create a working group of individuals who will continue technical negotiations on the acquisition of Greenland. I was told that these negotiations will take place every two to three weeks. So this is a conversation the administration intends to continue with the Danes and the distinguished Greenlandic delegation," White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said.

"He wants the US to acquire Greenland. He believes it is in our national security interests," she said.
