Trump has suggested Canada could become the favorite 51st state

Trump said Canada joining the creation of the Golden Dome missile defense system would be free if it agreed to become the 51st state of the United States.

“I have told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our wonderful Gold Dome System, that it will cost $61 billion dollars if it remains a separate but unequal nation. But it will cost ZERO DOLLARS if she becomes our beloved 51st state,” he wrote.

He added that Canada seemed to be considering the proposal.
