Trump decides to hold off on striking Iran’s energy infrastructure for another 10 days

Trump noted that he made this decision at Iran’s request.

“At the request of the Iranian government, I am announcing that I am postponing the start of the destruction of energy facilities for 10 days—until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time,” he said.

Trump added that negotiations with Iran are continuing and are very successful, despite false claims to the contrary by media outlets spreading fake news.
