Revolver is like a fine wine, the older it gets, the more valuable it becomes.

The seventh Beatles album Revolver has an interesting history - like a fine wine, the older it gets, the more it is appreciated. At the time, it was almost forgotten after the release of the "Beatles" album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which surprised everyone and was long considered the best in the history of rock music. and then the "Mozartian" Abbey Road.

However, the more years passed, the higher Revolver rose in various lists of "the best rock albums" of all time - and in any of them, if we are talking specifically about The Beatles, it is, at least, in this top three. And according to NME magazine, it is in 2nd place in the history of rock music and the best of The Beatles.

They also remembered that Revolver was the Beatles' first album of truly experimental music. One example - the outstanding composer Leonard Bernstein, the principal conductor of the New York Philharmonic, was delighted with Eleanor Rigby. And so it happened with many rock musicians - the more they matured and understood more about music, the higher they rated Revolver.

Here you can ask - what about The Beatles themselves, because they were then a little over twenty years old? But they were simply geniuses - and George Martin was with them.
