The film A Working Man with Jason Statham has been released worldwide

American reviewers of the film persistently compare it to the famous Taken trilogy with Liam Neeson in the lead role, but the similarity here is purely superficial (search for a kidnapped girl who became a victim due to her own stupidity or, to be more correct, naivety), since Jason Statham is an actor of a completely different kind and there is much more cruelty in films with him.

In general, the list of people who created A Working Man is impressive. The director is David Ayer, who started out as a screenwriter for Training Day and the first Fast and Furious, and then directed Cool Times and Street Kings and other action films. He is also the author of the script for The Pro together with Sylvester Stallone. Yes, yes, if anyone has forgotten - Stallone is not only a star actor, but also the author of one of the best scripts in the history of Hollywood, which turned into the film Rocky.

By the way, A Working Man starts out quite in the spirit of "Rocky", with the only difference being that in the second version Stallone's hero is a small-time street criminal, while in the first version he is a former British special forces soldier, and now he is a simple construction foreman. However, the further the film unfolds, the more surrealism it has rather than realism - and this is not so surprising, considering that the script is based on a series of books about Levon Cade by Chuck Dixon, who created comics about the Punisher and Batman in the 90s. And David Ayer was once the director of the superhero "Suicide Squad".

And Statham - he remains Statham in any film style...
