Macron will not mourn the Iranian leadership

Macron noted that the US and Israel, having launched the operation, did not act in accordance with international law, but that the Iranian leadership will not be mourned, and that Tehran itself is primarily responsible for this situation, according to BFMTV.

“We have strengthened the protection of our military bases in the region. Two of them were subjected to limited strikes, which caused material damage,” Macron said.

He said that France had joined in shooting down enemy UAVs from the very beginning as part of legitimate defense to protect the airspace of our allies.

Macron confirmed that the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which until recently was in the Baltic Sea, is heading to the Mediterranean, and also announced the deployment of additional aircraft and air defense systems in the region, as well as the dispatch of the frigate Languedoc.

He expressed his desire to form a coalition that would use combined forces and resources to restore maritime traffic in the Middle East.

Macron criticized Israel for its ground operation in Lebanon, calling it a dangerous escalation and a strategic mistake.
