Macron wants to ban social networks for children

Macron, addressing the French after the murder of a teacher's assistant at a high school on June 10, stressed that he wants to act faster, Politico reported.

“We cannot wait,” he declared.

He announced that his country will soon introduce age verification on websites that sell knives online - similar to measures already in place for porn sites.

“A 15-year-old will no longer be able to buy a knife online. This means we will impose huge financial penalties and bans. Platforms are able to verify age. Let's do it,” he promised.
