Iran did not ask the U.S. for a 10-day delay

According to the WSJ, mediators in the negotiations denied that Tehran had requested an extension of the delay in strikes against Iran’s energy sector.

The chances of success in reaching a ceasefire remain low, as Iran and the US are making demands that are unacceptable to the other side.
