Former fast food chain CEO becomes US ambassador to the EU

The Senate vote took place on August 2. Puzder's nomination as ambassador to the EU was supported by 53 votes to 44, including the support of several Democrats, according to The Hill.

US President Donald Trump nominated Puzder for the position in January. At the time, he praised his work as head of the Carl's Jr and Hardee's fast food chains and expressed his opinion that Puzder would do an excellent job as ambassador.
