According to the BBC, more than 100 people, including Imamoglu, have been detained for various offenses. The arrest warrants were issued in connection with corruption charges.

The suspects, including Imamoglu, are accused of criminal organization, extortion, bribery, fraud and tender manipulation.

The prosecutor's office names Imamoglu as a suspect who is the leader of the criminal organization.
