China has created a wonder weapon

Chinese scientists from the Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology in Xi'an have unveiled a compact device called TPG1000Cs, which could form the basis for a high-energy microwave weapon capable of disabling the electronics of satellites in low Earth orbit.

The new development is the world's first compact power source for high-power microwave weapons. The device is capable of generating 20 gigawatts of power in one minute, according to the South China Morning Post.

The installation is only four meters long and weighs five tons. This allows it to be mounted on trucks, military ships, aircraft, or even launched into orbit.

Chinese experts claim that ground-based microwave weapons with a power of more than 1 GW are capable of seriously disrupting the operation of or even damaging Starlink satellites.

Previously known analogues were much more cumbersome and could only operate continuously for up to three seconds. One example is the Russian Sinus-7 system, which weighs about 10 tons and operates for only about a second, generating about 100 pulses. The Chinese development, on the other hand, is capable of delivering up to 3,000 high-energy pulses in a single session.

China has repeatedly stated that Starlink poses a threat to its national security, so Chinese military researchers are developing “Starlink killers,” including lasers and microwave systems.
