Putin continues to demand the entire Donbas region

On December 25, Putin held the traditional pre-New Year meeting of the State Council, which this time was devoted to personnel training issues, according to Kommersant.

Putin spoke about the negotiation process with the US and Ukraine on the so-called peace plan.

He talked about the agreements in Anchorage, the American side's plan, and what positions were, so to speak, agreed upon on the fly. He also said that the Americans had backed away from some of their own proposals as a result of negotiations with the Europeans. And that this was a sign of weakness.

Putin asserted that the Russian side is still ready to make the concessions that he accepted for himself in Anchorage.

In other words, he is saying that “Donbas is ours.” It was said that the question of the ownership of the Kramatorsk-Konstantinovsk-Slovyansk hub is not up for discussion. But that a partial exchange of territories with the Russian side is not ruled out in other areas.
