There is no military solution to the war in Ukraine, - Rubio

According to him, the Trump administration continues to increase pressure on Russia. At the end of last year, additional sanctions were imposed on the Russian oil company Rosneft. The US is selling weapons to Ukraine without providing any military support to Russia or imposing sanctions on Kiev.

Rubio noted that the US is the only country that has managed to bring Russian and Ukrainian negotiators to the table. He claims that no other party, including the UN or the EU, is capable of fulfilling this role, as Russia is not even willing to talk to them.

He stressed that the war has no military solution and will ultimately be ended through negotiations. Rubio acknowledged that Trump's patience is not unlimited.

According to Rubio, the US president is deeply disappointed that the war is continuing, calling it senseless and bloody. He noted that 7-8 thousand soldiers are dying on the front lines every week, and the destruction in Ukraine is growing every day, which will have consequences for several generations.

Commenting on the question of Moscow's responsibility for strikes on civilian infrastructure, Rubio said that it was thanks to US support that Ukraine was able to continue its defense. He recalled US military aid, intelligence support, and sanctions against Russia.

He acknowledged that despite some progress in the negotiations, a number of issues remain very difficult, and reaching a final agreement will require considerable effort.
