The US has threatened Russia with new sanctions over its bombing of Ukraine

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that all options remain on the table as Putin continued bombing Ukraine despite recent peace talks, Fox News reports.

"Putin, starting with the historic meeting in Anchorage, after a phone call when European leaders and President Zelensky were at the White House, did the opposite of what he said he would do. Moreover, he intensified the bombing in a despicable, shameful way. Therefore, I think all options remain on the table, and we will consider them very carefully this week," he said.
