Situation in Sumy Region: General Apostol promises Russians "painful surprises"

In some places, the occupiers are being pushed back from previously captured settlements, said the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleg Apostol. 

According to him, Ukrainian units continue active operations in this direction. In particular, the settlement of Andriivka has been liberated, and after recording the interview, it became known about the liberation of Kindrativka. 
"Of course, there is an understanding where we need to strengthen or increase our efforts. Active work is underway," Apostol noted. 

The commander of the Airborne Assault Forces also stated that the Ukrainian army is preparing serious "surprises" for the enemy, which will significantly affect the situation at the front. 

"We are constantly working not only on the quantitative component, but also on qualitative growth. For example, we have changed the principle of fire and we have good results. There are some other technological innovations, but I will not reveal them to the enemy. I can say this: right now I am preparing two surprises for the occupiers at once. For one I already have everything, for the second I need some resources and time, but we are planning to implement it right away. If everything works out, it will be very difficult for the enemy,” he emphasized. 

Apostol explained that we are talking about technological and engineering solutions that will allow us to create “kill zones” where Russian assault groups will suffer massive losses. 

“We will create such kill zones for the Russians that they will die in packs. If they get there, today’s losses will seem minimal to them,” the general promised.
