Zelensky to discuss territorial issues with Putin

Zelensky slightly disagreed with the percentage of occupied territories shown on the map presented by the Americans at the meeting in the White House. He had no disputes with Trump, but rather a good, warm, substantive conversation, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

He explained when and how certain parts of Ukraine's territory were occupied, in particular part of the east and Crimea in 2014.

Zelensky did not directly answer the question about the US position on whether they would insist on an exchange of territories and whether the Ukrainian side had a formula for determining the acceptability of recognizing certain occupied territories as belonging to Russia.

“We will leave the issue of territories between me and Putin,” he said.
