US has issued a “global warning” to its citizens

"The conflict between Israel and Iran has led to travel disruptions and periodic airspace closures in the Middle East. There is the potential for demonstrations targeting U.S. citizens and interests abroad. The State Department advises U.S. citizens around the world to exercise increased caution," the State Department said.

Such worldwide warnings are a rare move. The last time the State Department resorted to such a warning was in October 2023 - after Hamas attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip.
