US and Ukraine will continue working on a plan to end the war

The US working group will include Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon chief Pete Gagset, and several other people, according to Ukrainska Pravda.

The Ukrainian team will continue to work with the participation of National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya, and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Andriy Gnatov.

“I hope that in January there will be decisions on all six documents I mentioned earlier, and we will continue to work in this direction. They know what they need to do next,” Zelensky added.

Trump noted that these working groups will also work with Russia later, because there is no point in working with Russia alone.

When asked how long it would take to resolve the issues, Trump replied: "Perhaps a few weeks. And if this issue drags on for too long, nothing will come of it. So I hope that in a few weeks we will already know what our situation is. Maybe everything will go badly — maybe we won't be able to agree on some point, and because of that, everything will fall apart."

Earlier, both presidents said that negotiations would continue.

“We agreed that the teams would meet in the coming weeks, and President Trump agreed to receive us in January, probably in Washington,” Zelensky said.
