The Kremlin should take seriously the statements of President Donald Trump, who did not rule out strengthening sanctions against Russian Federation.

“I wouldn't call it a disappointment. I would call it a statement from someone who has led peace efforts in many different regions, who is clear and absolutely transparent about what's going on. And I think it's something that Russia should take seriously,” State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said.

Bruce reminded that the US president has many different means at his disposal to make sure that our position is felt and that it can be used to influence an end to this carnage, European Pravda reported.

“We have been following reports that the air strikes carried out by Russia this weekend were the largest air attack on Ukraine since the war began. Obviously our thoughts, prayers and awareness are with the victims and their families. We call for restraint and urge all sides to avoid further escalation. We continue to support direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. The President supports any mechanism that leads to a just, lasting, and lasting peace - any mechanism. There is no military solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and a diplomatic solution is necessary,” she emphasized.
