Trump warns Britain against dangerous cooperation with China

Trump was asked about the deepening of relations between Beijing and London amid British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to China. The British prime minister is in Beijing for a four-day visit – his first in eight years, according to European Pravda.

During a meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Starmer stated his desire to build more refined relations with China. The two sides reached agreements on trade and investment. China also introduced a 30-day visa-free regime for British citizens.

Trump called these steps dangerous and mentioned Canada, which also recently concluded a number of agreements with China.

"It's very dangerous for them, and it's even more dangerous for Canada to do business with China. Canada is going through hard times. They're in a very bad situation. And China can't be the solution. The first thing they'll do is ban hockey. Canada won't like that," he said.
