Trump promises to maintain huge tariffs on India

Trump spoke with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who assured him that India would stop importing Russian oil, Reuters reports.

“I spoke with Indian Prime Minister Modi, and he said he would not buy Russian oil,” Trump said.

When asked about the Indian authorities' denial of such a conversation, the president replied: “If they want to deny it, then they will just continue to pay huge tariffs, and they don't want that.”
