Trump has started a war against drug cartels

“The United States has long, long ago, for many, many years, created intelligence that allows us to intercept and stop drug boats. And we did that. And it didn't work. What will stop them is when they are destroyed, when they are eliminated,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

He specified that the same data and intelligence mechanisms were used to identify a drug ship that was heading for the US, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“And instead of intercepting it on the orders of the president, they destroyed it. And this will happen again. Perhaps it is happening even now. I don't know,” he added.

Rubio stressed that US President Donald Trump will wage war against narco-terrorist organizations.

“This boat was operating in international waters and was heading to the US to flood our country with poison. And under President Trump, those days are over,” he said.
