Trump accused Zelensky of derailing the rare earth minerals agreement

According to him, this deal was necessary so that the US could return the money spent on support of Ukraine, reports “Suspilne”.

Trump said that the US spent $200 billion more than Europe to support Ukraine. Trump noted that Europe gives money against guarantees and gets the funds back, it is a form of borrowing. Whereas the U.S. simply gives money without getting anything back.

“The United States has spent 200 billion dollars more than Europe. Europe's money is guaranteed, they get their money back. It's a form of borrowing. We're just giving away our money, and we had an agreement on rare earth metals and other things, but they broke that agreement. They violated it two days ago,” Trump said.

Trump emphasized that the previous US administration, in his opinion, had ineffective economic policies, allowing European countries to benefit financially without proper exchange.
