Rubio discussed peace in Ukraine with the EU

“The leaders discussed ways to achieve a ceasefire and peace in Ukraine,” U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said.

Rubio spoke with Foreign Ministers Jean-Noël Barrot of France, Johann Wadeful of Germany, Radoslaw Sikorski of Poland and David Lemmy of Britain.

The head of the US State Department is now in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rubio is accompanying US President Donald Trump on his May 11-14 trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The secretary of state will then travel to Antalya, Turkey, May 14-16 to attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers to discuss the Alliance's security priorities, including increasing the Alliance's defense investment and ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
