F-35 fighter jets shot down Russian drones in Poland with missiles costing €400,000 each

F-35 aircraft are useless in the fight against cheap drones, according to Bild.

The fighter pilots attacked the drones with AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, each costing more than €400,000. Russian drones cost only a few thousand euros.

“In the long term, there is no military sense in using the F-35 against drones. Therefore, the alliance is considering various options for countering Russian provocations,” said a senior NATO officer.
