Iran refuses to open the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran will not accept any deadlines or pressure to conclude an agreement. Iran is convinced that the US is not ready for a permanent ceasefire, Reuters reports.

This was Tehran’s response to a framework plan for ending hostilities and subsequently concluding a peace agreement from Pakistan, which also forwarded it to the US on Sunday night. Islamabad expects the details of the agreements to be finalized on April 6. The plan calls for an immediate ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the conclusion of a comprehensive agreement within 15 to 20 days.
