US President Donald Trump believes former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020.

Trump shared a post on Truth Social by an anonymous user who claimed that Joe Biden was executed back in 2020 and that he was replaced with a “clone,” a “doppelganger” and a “robotic being without a soul or mind,” according to NBC News.

The original post was created by an anonymous account with 5,000 followers that regularly publishes absurd conspiracy theories.

Trump shared a link to the post with his nearly 10 million followers without adding any explanation or context.

This isn't the first time Trump has spread misinformation and unproven conspiracy theories. In the past, he has spread fake claims about alleged fraud in the 2020 election, questioned the citizenship of former President Barack Obama, and made claims about Haitian immigrants allegedly “eating pets” - all of which have been repeatedly debunked.

Trump's inner circle has also spread conspiracy theories - some senior officials in his administration have spread misinformation about vaccines or the so-called “deep state.” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. previously repeated the disproven claim that the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine causes autism. The FBI director and deputy director circulated the claim that the Biden administration and the “deep state” used the FBI as a weapon against Trump.
